A recent conversation with my husband

Him: Something big is coming up…some holiday or something. What is it?

Me: No holidays until Labor Day.

Him: Something’s coming up…

Me: Our anniversary is on the third. Is that it?

Him: Anniversary?

Me: You know, the day we got married?

Him: Oh, yeah. No, that’s not it.

Me: Well, my birthday is coming up a few days after our anniversary. Is that it?

Him: Noooo.

Me (disgruntled): Well, then I have no idea.

A few hours later:

Him: I remember! The State Fair!

Me: I feel so loved.
