Scenes from my kitchen

For my bridal shower my friend KVE got me a great little gift that had 3 airbake cookie sheets, a melon-baller type scoop for scooping cookie dough, and a little box with 50 cookie recipes in it.

One of the recipes is for these lime frosted wafers. They are the perfect summer cookie – crunchy and tart and sweet. Lovely.

They are also the mister’s favorite. I’m baking them right now and he’s hovering anxiously, waiting for me to put the sugary-lime frosting on top of them before he snatches a handful and runs, stuffing them into his mouth even though they’re still piping hot from the oven.
